The Brief and Design Vision
Our team recently completed a bespoke residential installation for a private home in Farnham, Surrey. The homeowners were seeking a practical yet visually striking surface to sit at the heart of their newly renovated kitchen.
Wanting a design that would harmonise with their deep navy cabinetry and warm brass hardware, they selected Classic Quartz Calacatta Dior. Used across both the central kitchen island and a full-height wall splashback, the material seamlessly connects the cooking and preparation zones, elevating the overall feel of the home.
The Materials
Classic Quartz Calacatta Dior offers the delicate grey veining and timeless look of luxury Italian marble, combined with the superior strength and practicality of engineered quartz.
The bright white backdrop reflects natural light throughout the kitchen, helping the space feel open and spacious even alongside dark cabinetry. Its dramatic, flowing veining provides rich character without feeling overwhelming, making it an ideal choice for large central islands and splashback features.
The Installation

Central Kitchen Island: Expertly templated and precision-cut to house a flush-mounted induction hob with an integrated downdraft extractor. The large slab layout creates an inviting central focal point for both daily cooking and entertaining guests.

Full-Height Wall Splashback: Installed continuously along the main worktop run, extending all the way up to the floating timber shelf. Eliminating tile grout lines makes the surface exceptionally hygienic and effortless to wipe clean, whilst protecting the wall from heat and cooking splashes.

Edge Finishing & Detailing: Finished with clean, square-polished edge profiles to complement the modern shaker-style cabinet doors and knurled brass handles.
