Farnham Quartz Interior Designer

Need a stone worktop or bathroom surface in a hurry?

When a project is running to a tight deadline, waiting weeks for a stone fabricator simply isn’t an option.

At Surrey Marble & Granite, we understand that interior designers often have to coordinate several trades, manage client expectations and keep a project moving — sometimes with very little notice. That’s why we make ourselves particularly available for trade clients looking for a fast, responsive and flexible stonework service.

From kitchen worktops and bathroom vanities to floating shelves, outdoor surfaces and completely bespoke pieces, we can help you select the right material, provide a quotation quickly and manufacture your stonework to your exact requirements.

Our January and February availability can be particularly useful for designers looking to get projects completed quickly at the start of the year. With experienced craftsmen, our own fabrication facility and an installation team that works alongside other trades, we’re set up to respond when you need us.

When Speed Matters, Communication Matters Too

A quick turnaround isn’t much use if you can’t get hold of the person making your worktop.

We know that interior design projects can change quickly. A client might alter a colour, an island may become larger, a sink specification can change or you may suddenly need an additional shelf or bathroom surface. When you’re working to a deadline, you need a stone fabricator who will actually respond.

We make communication a central part of the service. Whether you need an initial quotation, advice on material selection, clarification on a technical detail or a change to the design, our team is available to help keep things moving.

For interior designers, that means fewer unanswered emails, fewer delays and a more straightforward process from initial enquiry through to installation.

We’re also happy to communicate directly with your client, kitchen company, builder or other trades where appropriate, helping everyone work to the same schedule.

If something needs changing, we’re here to help find a solution quickly.

A Huge Choice of Stone, Colours and Specifications

Fast doesn’t have to mean compromising on choice.

Interior designers often need something very specific: a particular shade to complement cabinetry, a precise thickness for a refined bathroom vanity, or a slab large enough to create a dramatic kitchen island without awkward joins.

At Surrey Marble & Granite, we work with a wide range of natural and engineered stones, including marble, granite, quartz, Dekton, porcelain and ceramic surfaces. This gives you considerable freedom when specifying materials, whether your project calls for understated neutrals, dramatic veining, a contemporary engineered surface or something genuinely distinctive.

We can also accommodate different sizes, thicknesses, edge details, finishes and cut-outs, allowing the finished piece to be tailored to the design rather than forcing the design to fit a standard product.

If you’re unsure which material or specification is best, our experienced team can talk through the practical considerations with you.

Tell us what you’re trying to achieve and we’ll help you find the stone to make it work.

Experienced Advice When You Need an Answer

Sometimes the quickest route to a solution is simply speaking to someone who knows stone.

As an interior designer, you don’t necessarily need another supplier telling you what is and isn’t possible. You need a fabrication team that understands materials, measurements, installation and the practical realities of turning a design into a finished piece.

Our experienced team can advise on material suitability, thickness, finishes, edges, cut-outs, joins and installation requirements. If you’re working with an unusual space or an ambitious design, we’re happy to look at the drawings and discuss the best way forward.

Our craftsmen carry out the fabrication in our own Surrey workshop, using modern machinery alongside traditional stoneworking skills. This gives us control over the process and allows us to respond to bespoke requirements rather than simply passing your order elsewhere.

So if you’re looking at a drawing and wondering, “Can we actually make this?”, give us a call.

Bring us the idea. We’ll help you work out how to make it happen.

Same-Day Quotations and Trade Pricing

When you’re trying to keep a project on schedule, waiting several days just to find out the price can hold everything else up.

That’s why we aim to provide same-day quotations wherever the project information allows. Send us your requirements, drawings or measurements and we’ll work with you to establish the specification and cost as quickly as possible.

For interior designers, architects, kitchen companies and other trade professionals, we also offer competitive trade pricing. Our aim is to make it straightforward for you to specify quality stonework while keeping control of your project costs.

Because we manufacture in-house, we can also discuss the practical details of a job with the people actually involved in making it. This can make a significant difference when you’re working with unusual dimensions, bespoke shapes or last-minute design changes.

We understand that a quotation is often the starting point for several other decisions. The sooner you have the information you need, the sooner you can get your client’s approval and move forward.

Send us the details of your project and let’s get a price moving today.

Bespoke Shapes Aren't a Problem

Not every interior fits neatly into a rectangle and your stonework shouldn’t have to either.

Curves, angled walls, unusual corners, oversized islands, shaped vanity tops and feature pieces can all create challenges when you’re working with stone. Fortunately, bespoke fabrication is what we do.

Our workshop can create unusual and intricate shapes from stone, including curves, waves, cut-outs and individually designed pieces. Every worktop is made to the requirements of the particular project, using precise templating to achieve an accurate fit.

That flexibility is particularly useful for interior designers. Rather than redesigning an idea around a standard worktop, you can develop the design you actually want and talk to us about how it can be fabricated.

We welcome bespoke designs and enjoy working on projects that require something a little different.

Whether it’s an unusual kitchen island, a sculptural bathroom vanity or a stone feature that needs to follow the architecture of a room, talk to us early or even at short notice.

If you’ve got an unusual shape, we’d much rather see the drawing than tell you it can’t be done.

More Than Just Worktops

Sometimes it’s the smaller details that make an interior scheme feel complete.

As well as kitchen worktops and bathroom surfaces, we can fabricate bespoke stone pieces such as floating shelves, upstands, splashbacks and other architectural details. These can be designed to complement your main worktops, using matching or contrasting stone to create continuity throughout the room.

Floating shelves are particularly effective in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and living spaces. A carefully selected piece of stone can introduce texture, colour and a sense of permanence without overwhelming the rest of the scheme.

For designers, these smaller elements can also be an opportunity to make use of stone in a more creative way. Offcuts or sections of a slab can sometimes be transformed into useful feature pieces rather than being wasted.

Because our work is manufactured in-house, we can discuss the dimensions, finish, edge detail and fixing requirements with you before fabrication.

If you’re already specifying stone for a project, ask us what else we could create from it.

Outdoor Surfaces and Projects That Go Beyond the Kitchen

Stone isn’t only for kitchens and bathrooms.

If you’re designing an outdoor kitchen, entertaining area, terrace or garden room, we can help you specify durable stone surfaces that bring the same level of finish and attention to detail outside as you would expect indoors.

Outdoor surfaces can be particularly effective when they are considered as part of the wider interior scheme. Matching or complementary materials can create a visual connection between an indoor kitchen and an outdoor entertaining space, helping the two areas feel like part of the same design.

We also work on projects that go well beyond conventional worktops. Our experience includes flooring, fireplaces, staircases and more ambitious bespoke stonework, so don’t assume your idea is too unusual for us.

If you’re working on a project where stone plays a significant architectural or decorative role, we’re happy to discuss the possibilities from the outset.

A Fast, Joined-Up Service From Quotation to Installation

When a project is moving quickly, having several different companies involved can create unnecessary delays.

At Surrey Marble & Granite, we provide a joined-up service covering the key stages from quotation and templating through to manufacture and installation.

Once the specification is agreed, we can create an accurate template, manufacture the stone at our Surrey workshop and arrange installation around the wider project programme. Our installation team can liaise with kitchen companies, builders and other trades to help ensure the worktop or bathroom surface arrives when it is needed.

Our standard process can be completed quickly. In suitable circumstances, templating through to installation can take as little as five days, although material availability and individual project requirements can affect the timescale.

That makes us particularly useful when you’re trying to complete projects during January and February, or when a project suddenly needs bringing forward.

Have a deadline? Give us the date and we’ll work backwards with you to see what’s possible.
