Radianz Lucern Lake Quartz Kitchen in Compton
The Brief and Design Vision
Our team recently completed a stunning quartz worktop and splashback installation for a private home in Compton, Farnham. The kitchen is a bright, open-plan space where classic shaker-style cabinetry meets modern living, with a generous island at its heart and views out to the garden.
To complement the soft grey painted cabinetry and polished chrome handles, Radianz Lucern Lake Quartz was chosen for all of the work surfaces. Installed across the island, the surrounding worktops and matching splashbacks, it gives the kitchen a clean, cohesive finish that lets the cabinetry and natural light take centre stage.
The Materials
Lucern Lake Quartz is a light, fresh white with a refined, understated character. It offers the calm, elegant look of natural stone with the strength and practicality of engineered quartz, making it ideal for a busy family kitchen.
Its polished finish reflects the daylight pouring in through the skylights, windows and garden doors, helping the whole room feel airy and open. The pale surface sits beautifully against the grey cabinetry and the warm tones of the limestone-style floor, tying the different materials together without competing with them.
The Installation
- Central Kitchen Island: A large quartz worktop forms the centrepiece of the room, offering generous space for cooking and preparation alongside a comfortable breakfast bar. The bright white surface contrasts softly with the grey cabinetry beneath and provides a practical home for the induction hob.
- Surrounding Kitchen Worktops: Matching quartz extends along the perimeter runs, including the area around the Belfast sink and the surfaces beneath the wall cabinets. The continuous finish creates a seamless look and plenty of usable workspace.
- Quartz Splashbacks: Fitted splashbacks in the same Lucern Lake Quartz run behind the worktops, protecting the walls from splashes and spills. The matching material gives a neat, tailored appearance and makes everyday cleaning quick and simple.

The Result
The finished kitchen balances traditional character with contemporary practicality, creating a welcoming space for cooking, dining and entertaining. The quartz worktops and splashbacks work together as one considered scheme, adding brightness and a sense of calm throughout the room.
The non-porous surface of Quartz resists everyday stains and is easy to maintain, so the worktops will keep their good looks with minimal upkeep.
By combining quality materials with expert craftsmanship, we have helped create a beautiful kitchen designed to last.
