The Finished Project
We are proud to share a recently completed installation which came with quite a complex brief, requiring some natural-looking materials but without the necessary care and maintenance of a natural marble.
Smart Design, Bold Impact
In addition to this, our client was hoping to achieve a surface of 80mm thickness whilst using different tones on the island and work surface.
After visiting our showroom and with the help of our team we were able to complete the brief and combining Caesarstone Mirabel with Ceralsio stone porcelain materials in a 12mm thickness. As you can see from the images this combination complemented each other and the colour scheme beautifully.
Everyday Practicality, Expertly Crafted Aesthetics
These slabs are extremely hardwearing and completely heat and stain-resistant making a great choice for a busy kitchen. With the material expectations fulfilled, we then moved to the design points.
This involved creating mitered edges with a bonded downstand to offer the appearance of the 80mm surface without the weight and cost implications. This method was also used on the floating shelf which gave an eye-catching detail and functional detail.
Seamless Flow and Finishing Touches
Our book-matching process meant we were able to continue the veining throughout the installation adding to the natural, seamless look.
Finishing touches such as the flush-mounted hob and integral sink completed the work to give a contemporary and elegant look.
