What Is Lapitec?
Lapitec isn’t a natural stone nor is it a quartz based manufactured stone. It is a unique product now defined as a Sintered Stone.
Lapitec is 100% mineral with no resin binder used in its production. Its structure is similar to granite, making it extremely hard and resistant to wear and tear, but also being crystalline it is similar to porcelain or glass in clarity.

Lapitec combines the positives qualities of engineered stone with the beauty and elegance of natural stone slabs. Lapitec is extremely hard which means it is remarkably resistant to abrasions, scratching and staining and is almost completely non-porous which ensures that it is very hygienic and easy to clean, making it a perfect low maintenance worktop surfaces.
Additionally it is insensitive to UV rays which means it will not discolour in the sun and will visually retain the quality of finishes it has from day one of installation.
Lapitec has a bacteria and mould repellent solution added to it during the production process to improve its performance even further. Lapitec is available in a range of plain, earthy colours or with veining for a dramatic finish.
