How to maintain and prevent damage to your Marble worktops

Clean Regularly with Gentle Products

Use a soft cloth and a pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaner to wipe down the surface regularly. Avoid acidic or harsh chemicals that can damage the marble.

Seal the Surface

Grey marble is porous, so applying a high-quality sealant every 6-12 months helps protect against stains and moisture absorption.

Wipe Spills Immediately

Clean up spills quickly especially liquids such as vinegar, Champagne and lemon juice as the acidity will etch the surface, removing the polish.

Spilled liquids such as red wine, tea and coffee can quickly bleed into the surface causing stains which in some cases cannot be removed.

Avoid Scratches

Use cutting boards when preparing food and avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the surface to prevent scratching.
