‘Go the extra mile’ is one of our founding statements here at Surrey Marble and Granite. Our team apply it in many ways, some serious, some joking, but the principle it highlights is our commitment to our customers.
As expert stone workers supplying both individuals and other building contractors, we quickly realised that the market was awash with customers who had had disappointing experiences. As well as a few cowboy builders and fraudsters who have no intention of providing good value for money, there are many businesses and contractors who are spread too thin, asking skilled plasterers to turn to basic plumbing or vice versa.
For us, standing out in this crowd was simple: we would commit to one field and do it right. Resisting the urge to have a finger in many pies, we would stick to our original goals and make the best kitchen worktops we can. In the 30 years since our company was founded, our expertise has grown and we’ve expanded: we do more work directly for domestic clients, and we work with a wider range of stones, particularly new engineered stones, like Silestone, and we have customers across Surrey and far beyond. But we haven’t branched out into areas we can’t master: no wood turning in this stone workshop!

In fact, we’d love it if you came down for a cup of tea as we find it’s so much easier to show off different finishes, edgings and stones in person. While the internet is a great place to comparison shop, a photo doesn’t do justice to the almost translucent beauty of fine marble or the bright colours of a processed stone like Silestone.
