Marble is renowned for its natural beauty and is used mostly in bathrooms, fireplaces and floorings (marble tiles).

Marble is metamorphosed limestone composed primarily of a dolomite or calcite combination of these carbonate materials. Marble like granite, is formed from heat and pressure beneath the earth’s crust. The recrystallisation of limestone occurs causing the makeup and texture to change. Impurities in the process result in the wide variety of veining and colours. For example the purest calcite marble is white, whilst marble containing hematite is a reddish colour. The yellow marbles contain limonite, and the green marbles contain more serpentine.
The recrystallisation process makes the structure of the rock more solid and enables the stone to take a high polish process. Marble is softer and more porous than granite, and is therefore more suitable to environments in bathrooms and bedrooms.
Marble vanity units are resilient, sophisticated and beautiful. They are suitable for a wide variety of applications, and are both strong and have longevity.
